Alibaba.com posted double-digit Q3 growth, as disclosed in the group’s latest quarterly earnings. The B2B ecommerce platform was also one of the group’s top-performing businesses during the period. It generated CNY3.76 billion (USD577 million) in revenue, a YoY increase of 53%. During the pandemic, Alibaba.com saw paid member numbers surge as offline disruptions challenged SMEs to think beyond traditional sales channels. To this end, the site expanded value-added services such as international shipping and logistics, as well as hands-on support, to help SMEs quickly transition their businesses online. As a result, Alibaba.com’s annual transaction volume more than doubled YoY in 2020.
